as the sun falls and the night dawns, there can be seen in the sky the rising of the Darklight.
it is said that human eyes were once keenly attuned to its frequency.
today, our sight has dimmed so the Darklight appears to us only as a momentary ripple in the space between the stars.
observed or not, the Darklight shimmers to life at every sunset.

once in a celestial cycle, on the evening of a Blood Moon, the Darklight stirs something into being.
ghastly mechanical shapes of flesh and steel are drawn from spaces beyond, into cursed existence.
these creatures crawl through tomb and crypt, alight on metal limbs, searching to bathe in the Darklight's radiance.
there, under the rising of the Blood Moon, these Tomb Crawlers writhe in a ponderous, hedonistic dance, a ritual powered and compelled by the burning of the Darklight.

as the Blood Moon reaches its apex, the Tomb Crawlers return to the nothing from which they came, their forms dissipating into particles strewn far by the Darklight.
this momentary conflux fades back into stillness as the Blood Moon hangs in the sky, awaiting its return at the next cycle.
